Yes, it is that time of the year. The first day of 2021 will be here soon and there is no better way to bring in 2021 and to drop kick 2020 through the goalposts, than to devour one, or maybe two, Jalama Cheese Burgers, and all the fixins. So, come join me on Friday, January First for a positive start of the year. I just returned from the pre-ride and found that the roads still will get you there and the “cafe” at Jalama Beach is still open. There is no camping which means less people and the outside tables are not closed off for use. However, I would suggest that you strap on your folding chairs just in case, just like we have done in the past.
We will gather together at Pappy’s Restaurant at 9:30, ride briefing at 9:45, with takeoff at 10:00am. We will head south on Highway 101 to the Union Parkway exit and turn west to Highway 135. We will turn south on Highway 135 to Harris Grade Road where we will turn right and go up and over the Grade. At the Lompoc ‘Y’ we will turn left onto Purisima Road and travel to Mission Gate Road and turn right and then right again onto Highway 246. We will travel a short distance to Highway 1 where we will turn left and head south to Jalama Road and make a right. We will travel about 14 miles to our destination Jalama State Park. This will be a 54-mile journey that will take us 1 hour and 20 minutes. Once there, the HOG chapter ride is done, no more, completed. If you have any questions, please call Moe at 805-266-4674.
Blessings to you all.
