Leaving the K-Mart parking lot, we will make a right turn towards the 101 Freeway on ramp and head north. We will stay on Highway 101 north until we take the Highway 46 west exit and stop at the McChevron (McDonald’s Chevron station) get some gas and pick-up some other riders. Then we head to Highway 46 west until we turn left onto Old Creek Road. There will be some areas on this stretch of road where we will have to go to single file formation. Staying on Old Creek Road (watching out for bicyclists) we will come to Highway 1 where we will make a right turn. Once on Highway 1 we will go north traveling past Cayucos and Cambria. We will continue north on Highway 1 until we arrive at our destination Ragged Point.
There are a couple of places to eat whether it be the Restaurant where you can eat inside or out by the fire pit, or the hamburger place. Different times of the year they have an outside Bar-b-q also going. While there, be sure to take a walk down to the point where the scenery is breathtaking (if there is not any fog).
For those that wish to leave early or continue please do. For those that wish to ride together back towards Santa Maria, Santa Maria will be the termination point.
