Mystery Ride X will mark the tenth time that I have put this ride on the schedule and they have all been very successful\, fun\, and totally out of the box for the riders. We will meet at the IHOP at Highway 101 & Main Street for breakfast and after breakfast we will have our pre-ride and depart. This will be a one night stay at our destination.  I may go back to doing two nights at some point but not this year.  Before the ride starts I will ask each rider for $5 if that rider would like to participate in the Destination Game. I will provide a map that each rider will view and select what they think will be the destination for the day of our departure. The rider who guesses the closest will be awarded the pot of $$ for that day. On day two we will return home and we will not play the game.  Dah….that is a no brainer.  LOL   I will use Google maps to calculate distance and route and therefore will not be changing the Google route for mileage purposes. Once you have made your selection you will not be allowed to change it for that day based on our stops along the way en-route to our destination. So start looking at destinations that you might want to guess at before this ride.  The map below may or may not help you…..LOL! \nI will be the only one who knows the destination each day if it is a multi-day ride (not even Jeanie will know) so obviously I will not be participating in this game. I can tell you that I think the destinations and lodging will be to everyone’s pleasing and it should be a fun experience and possibly someplace you have never been or someplace you have not been to in a while…..kind of a crap shoot on that comment! I will come up with scheduled fuel stops/breaks and meal stops along the route to our destination each day as is normally done for overnight rides. \nI will provide those of you who sign-up an approximate cost for the hotel(s) and I will designate a point of no return for cancellations especially since I will be holding them on my credit card. If you cancel after the specified date and I get charged then you will need to reimburse me….so please don’t sign-up if you cannot accept this risk. \nEstimated Cost for this year’s ride: $105 – $130 \nWe have previously visited and will not revisit:  Big Bear Lake\, Mammoth Lakes\, Gilroy\, Jackson\, Morgan Hill\, Three Rivers\, Mariposa\, Tehachapi\, Tulare\, Santa Nella\, and Wasco so do not pick one of these.  I do not repeat destinations for the Mystery Ride.  It is someplace different each time. Maybe the map below will help you out when we leave IHOP! \nYou may want to consider taking your State and National Park passes if you have one….just in case we pass through or stay at one.  We have gone through National Parks in the past on the ride. \nContact me if you have any questions at 805.757.9202. We will exit on Oak Park Road in Arroyo Grande\, turn left and then right on Oak Park Road which becomes Noyes Road. Turn left onto Hwy 227 and go through SLO the back way (Right on Biddle Ranch\, Left onto Orcutt Road\, do the round-about\, continue on Orcutt Road to Right onto Johnson Avenue\, onto San Luis Drive\, Left onto California Boulevard\, Right on Monterey and merge onto US-101 N). \nIn Atascadero\, we will take Hwy 41 east (right turn) to Templeton Road (left turn) to Vineyard Drive (left turn) to Hwy 46 west to Hwy 1 (right turn) to Cambria and turn right onto Main Street. We will continue up Main and enjoy the scarecrows on the side of the road\, until we arrive at the Main Street Grill for lunch. This is our termination point.
