Termination point will be the Santa Margarita Community Park
After the Pre-Ride Briefing, we will exit the Chevron making a right onto S College Dr being cautious of oncoming traffic from a blind curve to our left. We will make an immediate left onto Santa Maria way and follow it to Highway 101 north. We will exit at Highway 166 then head east to New Cuyama where we will stop at Richardson Park just east of town. After a short break, we will continue east on Highway 166 to Highway 33 in Maricopa and head north to Taft. As we enter Taft, La Salsa Mexican Restaurant will be on our right.
After lunch we will head north on Highway 33 a few blocks to the Chevron Station on the right and fill the tanks. Then continue north on Highway 33 to Highway 58 west. With the quantity of rain this year, the springtime conditions have the potential for us to experience the wildflowers. Traveling Highway 58, we will encounter twisties and elevation changes to go along with some spectacular views. If the conditions are right and parking is available, we may stop at Shell Creek Road or 7 Mile Road for viewing. As we enter Santa Margarita, we will make a left at H Street for a rest stop at the Santa Margarita park on the right. Here, the ride will terminate, and we can say our goodbyes.
Hope you can make it!
