Cold Spring Tavern will be our destination / termination point for the ride

Leaving the parking lot and we will be making a right onto Bradley.  We will be careful as we cross over three lanes of traffic with a blind corner to our left careful and get in the left turn lane.  At the traffic light we will make a left hand turn.  We will head to the Highway 101 and the northbound entrance ramp.  Once on the freeway, we will be staying on the 101 until the Donovan off ramp and we will be making a right turn onto Donovan at the traffic light.  We will stay on Donovan till Suey Creek Road / Bull Canyon Road on the left which goes over the bridge.  We will stay on Bull Canyon Road until we come to the cross street of Highway 166.   We will make a right turn onto Highway 166  and travel for a few miles before we make a right onto Tepusquet Canyon Road.  We will be go to single file formation for the next 14-miles and we will encounter lots of twisties, switchbacks, 3 water crossings, and we might see some Turkeys, and Deer.  We will stay on Tepusquet Canyon Road and go to the left at the Y intersection, travel over the Santa Maria River Bridge to and on to Foxen Canyon Road.  We will then turn left at the stop sign.  Once on Foxen Canyon Road will also have a lot of twisties, and some tight curves.   We will go back into staggered formation for a bit then back into single file.  Foxen Canyon is a rough road in some stretches with potholes, etc.   We will continue straight at the Zaca Station Road junction and continue south to the stop sign which will take us to Highway 154 (San Marcos Pass).  We will make a left turn when it is safe to do so with all the traffic and pedestrians.   We will then turn off Highway 154 at Stagecoach Road by making a left turn.  Once at our destination we have a couple places to eat to include the restaurant, and outside Bar-b-Q.  They usually have a 3 piece band playing the blues. This is the destination / termination point for the ride.

If there is no place to park at the Cold Spring Tavern and everyone is in agreement then we will go back onto the highway and head towards Lake Cachuma. The turn off to the Lake will be on the right. No cost to enter if you eat at the cafe.
