Fat Cats Lunch Ride (was Cold Spring, then Lake Cachuma and now Fat Cats….LOL)

PLEASE ARRIVE 20 – 30 MINUTES PRIOR TO THE PRE-RIDE BRIEFING! (This will allow you time to visit other riders, use the restroom, fuel up, get a cup of coffee, etc.)

Fat Cat’s will be our destination / termination point for the ride

Well…..for those of you that follow me on Facebook / Meta you may have seen my post from my ride out to Cold Spring.  I have to tell you that they still have done nothing about the parking issues for motorcycles.  It is terrible and dangerous!  That said, I have changed the ride to Lake Cachuma and the HOOK’d Bar and Grill Restaurant.  These folks always treat us well so the ride will be a hair shorter.

Update:  This ride has now changed to Fat Cats as the destination.  Highway 154 is closed from the Highway 246 round about to Santa Barbara Highway 192.

Leaving the parking lot we will be making a right onto Bradley being careful of the up and coming traffic from the left, being a blind curve.  We will cross traffic into the left hand turn lane at the traffic light.  We will head to the Highway 101 freeway going North.  Once on the freeway we will be staying on the 101 until the Donovan off ramp and we will make a right onto Donovan at the traffic light. Staying on Donovan we will travel east until we come to Suey Creek Road / Bull Canyon Road on the left which goes over the bridge.   We will continue on Bull Canyon Road to Highway 166.   We will then make a left turn at the stop sign and we will travel west on Highway 166 to the traffic light as we approach Highway 101 and we will make a right onto Thompson Way.   We will continue traveling on Thompson Way going through Nipomo and going to the Highway 101 northbound on ramp at Los Berros Road. Once on Highway 101 we will take the Traffic Way exit on the right and continue to the cross street (Branch Street). Going up and over the hill we will stay to the left side of the fork and take Corbett Canyon that we will stay on until we make a right onto Tiffany Road.  We will stay on Tiffany Road to a stop sign and where we will make a left onto Orcutt Road.  We will stay on Orcutt Road for a short distance until we make a left turn at the light and we will get onto Tank Farm Road.  Tank Farm will take us to Higuera Street and we will make a left at the stop light.  Once on Higuera Street we will go under the 101 freeway and we will make a quick right turn and then a left turn onto the frontage road, Ontario Road.   We will then make a right turn at the stop sign onto San Luis Bay Inn Drive.   We will continue on this road to Avila Beach Drive Road and we will make a right at the stop light.   We will stay on Avila Beach Drive all the way to Fat Cats at the marina.  Parking in Green spots are paid parking so park where you can.
