Hitching Post II Lunch Ride

CE – THIS IS A CLOSED RIDE TO THE PUBLIC. MEMBERS MAY BRING TWO GUESTS WITH THEM.

PLEASE ARRIVE 20 – 30 MINUTES PRIOR TO THE PRE-RIDE BRIEFING! (This will allow you time to visit other riders, use the restroom, fuel up, get a cup of coffee, etc.)

PLEASE BRING YOUR SM HOG MEMBERSHIP CARD FOR CURRENT STATUS!

Ride Rating: Nice & Easy

After our pre-ride briefing, we will leave the shop, turn right on Broadway and get on Highway 101 N and travel a short distance to the 166 / Maricopa exit. We turn left, then right onto Hutton, to Division and turn left.  We take this to Highway 1 and turn left, traveling through Guadalupe to Black Road, turn right to San Antonio West, and veer left. At Highway 1, we go right to Vandenberg Space Force Base and turn left at the Main Gate, continuing on Purisima Road to the round-about on Highway 246 and go left to Buellton.  The outdoor tasting room, where lunch is served, is next to the Hitching Post.

There is plenty of seating in the shade under the trees and a mister for the heat. Views of the Santa Ynez Valley and mountains with appearances of ostriches from the farm are lovely. The menu is lunch fare, with sandwiches, salads, pulled pork and oak-grilled burgers. The food is very good.  The easy ride is 1 hr, 15 min and 57 miles.
