Ride Rating: Nice & Easy

The Hook’d Bar and Grill will be our destination / termination point for this ride.

Note that we now have a new departure point for this ride as we are getting away from using the Chevron Station on Santa Maria Way due to Safety concerns.  This new departure point will offer us a much safer exit and easy access to Highway 101, going north or south.  It is only 2.7 miles further south from the Santa Maria Way location.  Most of the parking lot curbing is marked as a Fire Lane.  They have a lot more pumps, the Extra Mile convenience store, and if you want to roll through the Car Wash with your bike you can do that too.  LOL

We will park in the Grocery Outlet parking lot located behind (west) of the Chevron Station.   When you arrive, gas up if needed, use the restrooms, purchase a snack or beverage and then move your bike to the Grocery Outlet parking lot that is west or behind the station. We will all get use to this after a few times of using the new Chevron Station on E. Clark Avenue.

When we depart we will head to the traffic light on E. Clark.  I will wait for it to go green so we can try and keep the group together.  We will turn right at the traffic light and then right again onto the southbound on ramp for Highway 101.  Once on the 101 freeway we will stay there until the Cachuma Lake/Highway 154 off ramp.  At the stop sign on top of the overpass we will make a left turn onto Highway 154. We will stay on San Marcos Pass until the Lake Cachuma exit on the left. Will be stopping at the Rangers Shack and let them know we are going to the Cafe, that waives the $10 dollar entrance fee.  Parking is where we can find it.  This is an easy and enjoyable ride.   The Hook’d Bar and Grill is the destination point of the ride.
