After the pre-ride briefing we will leave the parking lot and make a right turn on Preisker and travel to the traffic light at Broadway. I will wait until the traffic light turns green so we can all stay together and we will head to the Highway 101 north bound on ramp. Once on Highway 101 we will stay on it until we take the Highway 46 west exit and pick up some gas and some other riders at the Chevron Station. If you intend on meeting the group at the Chevron Station in Paso Robles please let me know so I am not wondering about you. We will then head to the traffic light and make a right onto Highway 46 west. We will stay on Highway 46 west until we turn left onto Old Creek Road. Once on Old Creek Road there will be some areas that we will have to get into a single file formation. Staying on Old Creek Road (and watching out for bicyclists) we will come to Highway 1 where we will make a right turn. Once on Highway 1 we will go through Cayucos and stop at the Shell Station on the north end of Cambria to top off our tanks. Back on the bikes we will head to the traffic light and make a left turn and then an immediate right turn and get back onto Highway 1. We will stay on Highway 1 until we come to Ragged Point.
There are a couple of places to eat whether it be the Restaurant where you can eat inside or out by the fire pit,or the Hamburger place. Different times of the year they have an outside Bar-b-q also going. While there, be sure to take a walk down to the point where the scenery is breathtaking (if there isn’t any fog).
For those that wish to leave early or continue on please do. For those that wish to ride together back towards Santa Maria, Santa Maria will be the termination point.
