The Redwood Cafe will be the destination / termination point for this ride.
We will depart be departing the Chevron Station on Santa Maria Way after our 8:45 am pre-briefing…..kickstands up at 9:00 am and we head north on Highway 101 and exit Highway 1. Normally I would take Los Osos Boulevard and head west to Turri Road but due to construction at S. Bay Boulevard and the Highway 1 entrance ramp we will take Highway 101 to the Highway 1 exit. We will stay to the right and then make a right at the stop light after we exit the 101 Highway. We will then travel north on Highway 1 and to Old Creek Road just north of Morro Bay where we take a right and we will encounter lots of twisties and some great scenery. Then we will take a left onto Highway 46 where we will head west back to Highway 1 and turn right onto Main Street in Cambria and on to our destination, the Redwood Cafe. I usually try and find parking on the street across from the restaurant since the parking lot is somewhat of an adventure when you try and exit….LOL. Rick the owner puts on a great breakfast and has great customer service and has been dealing with riders from our Chapter since the Martin Buchanan days when he was General Manager.
This will be our termination / destination point for the ride. I hope to see you on the ride and if you have any questions please contact me at PhilipRietz@comcast.net
