Old Juan’s Cantina (Was Taste of Mexico Lunch Ride)

CE – THIS IS A CLOSED RIDE TO THE PUBLIC. MEMBERS MAY BRING TWO GUESTS WITH THEM.

PLEASE ARRIVE 20 – 30 MINUTES PRIOR TO THE PRE-RIDE BRIEFING! (This will allow you time to visit other riders, use the restroom, fuel up, get a cup of coffee, etc.)

Ride Rating: Moderate

I made a destination change to this ride due to the triple digit temperature forecast for the Paso / Templeton area this weekend. 

We will depart the Santa Maria Harley Davidson by turning right out of the parking lot onto Preisker Lane and at the traffic light we will turn right.  We will head to the Highway 101 on ramp and head north on Highway 101 to the Highway 166 off ramp.  We will head east on Highway 166 to Tepesquet Road where we will turn right and travel up and over the hills and we will encounter a lot of twisties.  This may be the warmest part of our ride so lots of water before we leave SMH-D please.  At Foxen Canyon Road we will turn right and into Sisquoc where we will turn left onto Palmer Road and to Dominion Road where will make a right.  After 3.5 miles we will turn left onto Clark Avenue and head west.  We will stay on Clark Avenue going through Orcutt to Highway 1 and we will turn right onto Highway 1 and travel north through Guadalupe and on into Oceano.  Just after the train station and after we go up and over the railroad tracks and past the Rock and Roll Diner our destination will be on the left.  Total mileage: 71.3 miles

Old Juan’s Cantina will be our final destination / termination point for this ride.

If you are riding only and not stopping with the group to eat please let me know.  I have made reservations for the first 12 signups.  If you signup after those 12 then you will most likely be sitting on your own since they are setting up a table for 12.
